Mimi Webb is an artist you're about to hear a lot more about, and it's not just because of her incredible performance at this year's Reading and Leeds festivals (her first festival performance, by the way). The singer initially rose to fame as a result of TikTok, when Charli D'Amelio began featuring her single "Before I Go" on her videos back in 2020. A year later, Webb's performed her first live lounge for BBC Radio 1, and honestly, it was very impressive. The singer started off with an acoustic version of her latest single, "24/5", before proceeding to cover The Kid LAROI and Justin Bieber's "Stay".

During the set, Webb expressed her interest in fashion, explaining the importance of a good outfit and detailing her experience of going to London Fashion Week this year, saying, "When you're wearing a really nice outfit that makes you feel really confident, you can act a different way and you perform a different way. With these Fashion Week events, you just want to kill it with the outfit and make it look sick." On her recent success, the singer put it down to pure manifestation. "On New Year's Eve, I did a manifestation thing, and I had all of those points, everything that's happened, the Ellen show, the billboard, live lounge, everything, on a vision board. I thought, 'Oh, this will be in like the next two years, fingers crossed,' and then it all just happened in five months."

Webb also spoke about the significance behind doing a Radio 1 live lounge, explaining, "We've been rehearsing so much for it. It's been a massive dream of mine for so, so long, and I just wanted to smash it. All my favourite artists, I've seen do it, and I've just been like, 'Oh my god, this is incredible.'"
